Supporting our Troops

I know it’s a little early to be thinking about Christmas however we are wanting to send Christmas care packages to our troops in Afghanistan.  As you know our troops are missing their families and it’s always tough around the holidays.  One of our fifth grade students has a dad who is deployed to Afghanistan at this time.  We would like to buy stockings for the men and women and then have our 5th grade students bring stocking stuffers.  These could be homemade gift items, wrapped candy ( no chocolate), beef jerky, deodorant, foot powder, chap stick, baby wipes, body wash, small games, cads, etc.  Also if you would like to help with postage a donation can be sent.  We will have the fifth graders in class make Christmas cards to send.  We need to mail these packages by Dec. 3rd so they will get there in time.  We are are asking that all  items be sent before December 1st in order to organize the items and get them ready to ship.  We appreciate your help and support for our troops.
