Tuesday, November 23rd, Primary and Intermediate students will have an Early Release day. Students will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m. All students will have lunch prior to the release time. Please be sure to mark your calendar and make arrangements for your child.

For Language Arts the students should have the following grades listed:

1.  Subjects and Predicates

2. Unit 5 Spelling Test

3.  Complete Sentences

4.  Unit 6 Spelling Test

5.  Unit 7 Spelling Test

6.  Pharaohs and Pyramids-Adjectives

7.  Unit 8 Spelling Test (given today-so this is not averaged on progress report)

5th Grade Field Trip

Oscar Oscars Acceptance Speech Smiley Smilie Smileys Smilies Emoticon Emoticons Animated Animation Animations GifThursday Oct. 28th, 2010, White Oak 5th graders will attend a children’s music concert hosted by ETBU in Marshall, TX.  We will leave around 8:20 for the performance at 10:00.  Afterward we will be picnicking at our own Nature Center pavilion.

On this day please wear a maroon White Oak shirt and bring a sack lunch.  Label lunch and drink with name.

This being Red Ribbon Week, bring your favorite hat or cap to wear when we get back from the auditorium at ETBU.5th

Monday, October 25Start off the week right and wear RED.

White Oak Elementary School shows support of Red Ribbon Week and wear red to show that you are drug free

Tuesday, October 26Join the team and don’t sweat drugs!

Wear sweats and school shirt.

Wednesday, October 27Pair up against drugs with Twinkie Day!

Dress like a friend, or dress like your teacher.

Thursday, October 28Outsmart drugs by using your head!

Wear a hat or cap.

Friday, October 29Spook out drugs!

Wear a costume. No masks or hand held props allowed.

(Costumes must follow the dress code found on page 7 of the Primary Student Planner and pages 13 and 14 of the Intermediate Student Handbook.)

We hope everyone will encourage their child/children to participate in these drug free awareness activities.
